Meet Lyvly's new Member Experience Team
Our members' experience at Lyvly is the most important thing to the team at HQ. Without them our community doesn't exist. From the moment they sign their lease and we connect them with their new housemates, to when they want to host an event or give us feedback on our service, Izzy and Liv are their first port of call for everything.
So, they've read your applications, we thought it makes sense that you find out a bit more about them.
IZZY - Head of Community Experience
I'm leading the new team to help enhance members experiences at Lyvly. My mission is to build connections across our neighbourhoods and help keep you up to date on what's happening at Lyvly and your home.
I've been working at HQ for two years now, and done pretty much every job in the company. From being one of the first employees to watching us grow to nearly 40 people, one thing has remained a constant - our community.
What Lyvly is building can be such a great place for people to connect and impact each other's lives so positively and I am excited to lead this team and help make that happen across every one of our neighbourhoods.
About Izzy
How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
Chatty, Goofy, Daydreamer
What do your friends come to you for?
All about the deep and meaningful chats. But definitely just advice and good times.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
I have many, which all essentially equate to rudeness. But really, I cannot abide people who get onto trains (or any public transport) before other people have got off. Why so rude?
Leaving the foil bit half open on butter. Really gives me the heeby jeebies.
Just rip it off mate.
Tell us your favourite fact(s) about yourself?
I can play the flute to grade 7 level...basically jazz flute.
My hair is naturally blonde, and I am frequently accused of it being dyed.
I wanted to be a chef when I was younger so my Grandma paid for me to go to a Cordon Bleu cookery school for 3 months. I sucked.
If you could take one thing (and one thing only) to a desert island, what would it be?
Snorkel.
What else would like to tell us about yourself?
I really love breakfast, I think it is the best meal of the day and also the greatest to share with other people.
My brother lives in Austria and is an ultimate frisbee champ. I also used to play ultimate frisbee until I broke my elbow.
I love food, but wouldn’t describe myself as a foodie, but I am, maybe, just slightly obsessed with smoked salmon.
Only recently I learnt how to say Falafel correctly (embarrassing).
liv - Community Champion
I'm your first point of contact for everything that's happening at your home or in the community. You'll see me out and about at events, I'll also be visiting you at home to chat about our service and how it could be improved. I'm most excited about welcoming new members to Lyvly and helping connect them with their housemates.
A lot of our members will have spoken to me in my previous role on the member relations team, helping them start their Lyvly journey as the first moved in. Hopefully now I can work on the next stage and help to build an engaged and connected community.
How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
Weird, giddy, compassionate.
What do your friends come to you for?
A good time! Had a break up? Let’s go for wine. Had a good day at work? Let’s go for wine. Tied your shoelace? Let’s go for wine. I’d like to point out that along with the wine comes a very good ear to listen, a loud mouth to give you advice and some fantastic stories to cheer you up.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
People fighting to get on a tube when there is another one literally 60 seconds after -let me get the hell off first!
Tell us your favourite fact(s) about yourself?
Despite never playing rugby in my life, I decided to go work for a rugby charity (called the Bhubesi Pride - shout out!) coaching touch rugby to children through 9 different African countries for 6 months.
If you could take one thing (and one thing only) to a desert island, what would it be?
The microwave from Spy Kids (along with all the food sachets).
What else would like to tell us about yourself?
I mean, I’ve very much a ‘what you see, you get’ kind of person. I won’t hide my weird quirks such as an INTENSE obsession with musicals, my love for teen dramas ('To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before' is my fav right now, if you wanted to know) and a morbid fascination with graveyards. And I guess that’s pretty much me!
