No Electricity in Areas of the Home

If you find that the electricity in part or all of your home suddenly stops working, affecting lights and appliances alike, the likely cause is that the fuse board in your home has tripped.  

This will have been to protect the electrical circuits within your home and could have tripped due to a faulty appliance or power surge.  

All you need to do is:

  •  locate the fuse board within your home, identify the switch which has tripped and return it to its normal position 
  • All the switches on the board should be facing in the same direction. 

If you noticed the fuse board tripping immediately after using an appliance such as an iron or kettle, please notify us, as there may be a problem with this appliance that caused the problem.
